Ideally located next to Rathbone Market in Canning Town, ZZETTA is the Italian local serving up ‘soul fired pizzas’, indulgent pasta dishes and plenty of regional wines alongside. The focus here is on the atmosphere as much as it is the food, looking to reflect the history and infectious buzz of Rathbone Market. The space is pared-back and minimalistic, with largely wooden decor from tables to counters, and even paddles hanging from the ceiling.
Looking to go above and beyond your average pizzeria, the team works closely with experienced chefs to develop a unique concept that showcases locally sourced produce. Aiming to bring quality to the forefront, whilst still maintaining an affordable price tag, is the aim of the game here; keeping the menu small to ensure each pizza is well executed and a speedy service.
On the menu you can expect to find dishes that are a fusion between Neopolitan and Roman style pizzas, with toppings such as a classic margherita, pepperoni, or parma ham with burrata. Then for those of you who prefer your topping on the sweet side, there is dessert style pizzas too with generous portions of Nutella. All of the dough here is vegan, and vegan cheeses/toppings can also be provided to provide a totally plant based meal.
