Handily located right beside Edgware Road tube, Zonzo is a family-run Italian restaurant which specialises in wood fired pizzas. Serving up brunch, lunch and dinner, no matter what time of the day you fancy a bite to eat, Zonzo will be able to provide. There are comfortable interiors with a small outdoor terrace which is perfect to enjoy a meal on in warmer months (or choose to wrap up and get some fresh air in winter if you prefer).

While the menu heroes pizzas and pastas, there are other options to suit all tastes – like the house special burgers which range from beef to chicken. Back with the classics and starters bring all the usual favourites like tomato pizza breads to share with the table, plus seafood such as crispy fried calamari and king prawns with garlic, butter, chili and parsley in a white wine sauce – perfect for mopping up with some freshly baked bread. Pizza toppings include tried and tested combinations like olives, ham and mushroom as well as some more unusual creations with mixes of things like roasted mixed peppers, creamy ricotta cheese, rocket and pesto. A comprehensive pasta menu caters to all with carbonara and Bolognese in place, as well as rich spaghetti vongole or ricotta ravioli for the more adventurous.

The selection of desserts makes the perfect sweet ending to any meal, with options spanning from refreshing lemon sorbet through to a rich chocolate fondant cake. If you can’t decide on a single favourite then why not go for a dessert platter, which presents eight mini desserts for you to share with friends or family (or to keep all for yourself!).

As you might expect, the drinks list is decidedly Italian and runs through from bottles of fizz and crisp whites through to full bodied reds and rich dessert wines. Mocktails and softs also cater for anyone not drinking.

They cancel your reservation just hours upfront of dining

We booked a table for 3 for a dinner on NY eve, 2 weeks upfront.
On the day itself, 31 Dec. at 1.50 pm, we received an email (and e-mail!!!) stating that our reservation had been cancelled. Without further ado...
Obviously since it was NY eve, we could not make a booking in another restaurant as everything was fully booked. This is bad customer service and not acceptable.
They had 2 weeks to cancel our reservation for this reason... they did it 5 hours upfront!
Upon my message to the restaurant that we could not appreciate this, Amir (restaurant owner?) wrote 2 days later:"We are so sorry for this inconvenience. However, we were open at NYE and had arranged live music for our guests as well. I think we were overbooked and therefore it may have resulted in acceptance of bookings on chronological order in our record and system. Please give us another chance to host you and let us make it up to you by offering our bestseller homemade Tiramisu (on the house)."
Offering some tiramisu seems a poor way to compensate this. This would already mean that we would be having to make another reservation…. Without being sure if it would be accepted.
This man needs to learn about customer focus.

Italian hospitality and proper Italian pizza. I ordered for take away and they gave me a small plate of olives as I waited. My pizza was done in ten-fifteen minutes and consisted only of fresh, quality ingredients. It was up to par with many pizzas I've eaten in Italy.

A good independent Italian
A short walk from Lord's Cricket Ground and a great find. Good food and excellent, attentive but not intrusive service. Antipasto platter for one (could easily have fed two), Saltimboca, glass of Sangiovese, panacotta, double espresso with hot milk on the side – my dream choice and very enjoyable
