Handily located right beside Edgware Road tube, Zonzo is a family-run Italian restaurant which specialises in wood fired pizzas. Serving up brunch, lunch and dinner, no matter what time of the day you fancy a bite to eat, Zonzo will be able to provide. There are comfortable interiors with a small outdoor terrace which is perfect to enjoy a meal on in warmer months (or choose to wrap up and get some fresh air in winter if you prefer).
While the menu heroes pizzas and pastas, there are other options to suit all tastes – like the house special burgers which range from beef to chicken. Back with the classics and starters bring all the usual favourites like tomato pizza breads to share with the table, plus seafood such as crispy fried calamari and king prawns with garlic, butter, chili and parsley in a white wine sauce – perfect for mopping up with some freshly baked bread. Pizza toppings include tried and tested combinations like olives, ham and mushroom as well as some more unusual creations with mixes of things like roasted mixed peppers, creamy ricotta cheese, rocket and pesto. A comprehensive pasta menu caters to all with carbonara and Bolognese in place, as well as rich spaghetti vongole or ricotta ravioli for the more adventurous.
The selection of desserts makes the perfect sweet ending to any meal, with options spanning from refreshing lemon sorbet through to a rich chocolate fondant cake. If you can’t decide on a single favourite then why not go for a dessert platter, which presents eight mini desserts for you to share with friends or family (or to keep all for yourself!).
As you might expect, the drinks list is decidedly Italian and runs through from bottles of fizz and crisp whites through to full bodied reds and rich dessert wines. Mocktails and softs also cater for anyone not drinking.
