You will find bowlfuls of freshly prepared pasta and sauces put together from scratch in the Enfield kitchen. The pizza dough is made by hand every day and uses only the best ingredients imported from Italy to give it that authentic flavour. Open every day from midday with a one or two-course lunch menu served until the early evening or stay on for a taste of even more Italian cuisine from the à la carte menu.
Start with a garlic flatbread or one of the antipasti, including a traditional bruschetta, the funghi al gorgonzola or a delicious goat’s cheese tart. Mains go from slow-roasted lamb shank and seared tuna to something native such as the carnoso pizza or swirl some pasta around your fork. The fettuccine con salmone is a signature pasta dish with its spinach fettuccine, salmon and tiger prawns all tossed in a creamy dill and white wine sauce.
The dolci are a great finish with something light such as a scoop of gelato or sorbet, or indulge in one of the more decadent sweet options. Try the perfectly layered tiramisu or spoil yourself with the tre cioccolato, a triple-layered chocolate dessert with milk chocolate, Ferrero and white chocolate foam. The affogato con liquore is also a great choice if you want to end on a boozy note, with gelato, amaretti biscotti crumbles, a shot of espresso and amaretto liqueur.
If you’re planning an evening out with the kids, Zaza has you covered. The kiddies can tuck into a two or three course meal with a fruit juice and a minicino. The menu has options for even the fussiest eater (the hidden vegetable linguine is our kid-friendly pick).
