Yard & Coop is bringing Southern buttermilk fried chicken to Liverpool, and bottomless brunch to boot. The team behind Yard & Coop first started cooking up delicious fried chicken in Manchester before branching out around the North. The chicken is all Red Tractor assured, halal and comes from one farm in Shropshire. The restaurant is a particularly great place to bring kids, with loads of events running every week to help keep children entertained. At the weekend, Yard & Coop run kids’ mornings where families can enjoy games and fried chicken for only £5 per child. The restaurant also occasionally runs child-friendly quiz nights from 7pm, perfect for an evening out with older children. In the Liverpool location there is a particularly great deal: kids eat completely for free with every adult meal ordered until 6pm. The restaurant also has high chairs and baby changing facilities.
For those without kids there are other great events on offer at Yard & Coop, from drag shows to bottomless brunch. The bottomless brunch menu is a decadent delight, featuring ‘tacros’, a grilled croissant which Yard & Coop fills with fried chicken like a taco. The menu also includes chicken and waffles, buttermilk pancakes and bottomless Prosecco. Don’t eat meat? No problem - the restaurant also serves vegetarian chicken nuggets, breaded halloumi and veggie ‘tacros’.
The main menu at Yard & Coop contains all the wings, burgers and fried chicken you could want. The boozy wings come with a variety of cocktail inspired and alcohol infused sauces, from Bloody Mary buffalo sauce to bourbon and coke barbeque sauce. The restaurant also serves plenty of Southern favourites, like towering fried chicken burgers, mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. For dessert, check out the Nutella, Oreo, or salted caramel shakes.
