Located on Lincoln Square near Spinningfields, Wing's Restaurant has built a longstanding reputation for dim sum and hearty Cantonese cooking. Family-run, Wing’s originally set up in Cheadle Hulme, before moving to its current site in 2004, where it continues to produce dishes that combine traditional Cantonese techniques and recipes with contemporary presentation, offering it all from handmade dim sum and banquet menus to premium seafood and A5 Kagoshima wagyu.
Following an extensive refurbishment in 2024, you’ll find a dining room with generously spaced tables, golden tones and deep leather bucket chairs. Wing’s Manchester works particularly well for group dining, thanks to large tables kitted out with lazy susans, and a menu bursting with sharing platters, banquet menus and seafood dishes designed for the table.
The menu at Wing’s is varied, offering a range of fan favourite dishes alongside more niche and traditional plates. Signature starters include aromatic crispy duck served with pancakes, sizzling fillet steak rolls, steamed scallops with garlic and vermicelli, and salt and pepper squid. Dim sum is a major focus, with har kau, siu mai, xiao long bao and rainbow dumpling platters all prepared in-house.
Main courses range from classic combinations such as king prawns in XO sauce, crispy chilli shredded beef and chicken with black bean sauce, through to more luxurious dishes including lobster with ginger and spring onion, sea treasures with monkfish and scallops, and A5 Kagoshima wagyu prepared in a choice of sauces. Alongside this are substantial vegetarian options, clay pot dishes, sizzling plates and noodle specialities, making Wing’s equally suited to large celebrations and indulgent family-style feasting. Vegetarians are also well catered for, thanks to a range of tofu and veg-led plates, complete with soup options, colourful dim sum and main courses such as ma po tofu, asparagus in Szechuan sauce and vegetarian Singapore-style vermicelli.
