About

In the heart of Manchester’s sleek Spinningfields district, ATOMECA Wine Bar offers a stylish escape into the world of European wines, small plates and laid-back sophistication. Created by hospitality heavyweights Joe and Daniel Schofield, alongside wine expert James Brandwood, this bar is the sibling to the award-winning Schofield’s and Sterling, with another sister site in Deansgate Square - and it carries the same DNA of quality, charm and attention to detail.

The vibe is effortlessly cool. Think minimalist interiors with warm lighting, curated art prints and plush seating that invites you to linger. It’s a space designed for conversation and connection, whether you’re catching up with friends or winding down solo with a glass of something exceptional. The bar’s location on The Avenue means it’s perfectly placed for people-watching, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the buzz of Spinningfields outside.

ATOMECA’s wine list is a labour of love, with bottles sourced from Provence and beyond, handpicked by Brandwood to showcase the best of the continent. There’s also a house pale ale brewed in collaboration with Manchester’s own Track Brewery, plus a refined cocktail menu that nods to the Schofield brothers’ mixology roots.

Bar snacks are available all day, with a small plates menu on offer from Wednesday to Saturday, offering standout dishes that pair beautifully with the drinks menu. On the snacks front you can expect the likes of flatbread with hummus or taramasalata, charcuterie and cheese plates, with sourdough, olives, and oysters also on offer. It’s the kind of place where you can drop in for a quick bite or settle in for a slow, wine-fuelled evening.

Service is warm and knowledgeable, with staff who are genuinely passionate about what they pour and plate. Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or just dipping your toe into the world of wine, ATOMECA Wine Bar makes it feel accessible, exciting and deliciously relaxed.
