Starters and small plates include tempura pork belly bites in an Asian glaze, with pickled ginger, spring onion, sesame seeds and coriander, Ollerod focaccia with olive oil and balsamic reduction, and goat’s curd with salt baked beetroot, chargrilled leek and courgette, pickled pear, blackberries, balsamic figs and candied walnuts. You’ll also find gin-cured trout paired with salt-baked beetroot, pickles, lemon crème fraiche and grilled croutes, a sharing baked camembert topped with cranberry and orange sauce, served with pigs in blankets and a min loaf.
The mains bring even more flavour to the menu, with a pan fried skate wing topped with Prosecco tartar beurre blánc, served with smoked almond salsa verde crushed potatoes, spinach and samphire, and pan fried celeriac and cauliflower served with cauliflower puree, wild mushrooms, charred Roscoff onions, potato rosti, pickled cauliflower and a smoked almond salsa verde.
Even the fries get special attention here at The Ollerod, with your choice of adding cheese, chicken salt or truffle and parmesan to them. Other sides include chargrilled tenderstem broccoli with an Asian glaze, chilli, ginger and sesame, and pickled onion rings.
