Located in the heart of Bath, The Mint Room is an award winning Indian restaurant that offers an exceptional high-end dining experience, and is unlike your typical curry house experience. The menu focuses on an offering of dishes that blend traditional flavours with modern techniques, and you can always count on The Mint Room to serve well prepared dishes that incorporate familiar Indian ingredients, cooked to perfection. Since the restaurant opened 15 years ago, the team have been lucky enough to welcome the likes of Christopher Eccleston, Ross Kemp and Gaitri Issar Kumar, so you're in good company at The Mint Room.
The extensive a la carte menu is available during the evening, and includes a long list of dishes for each dedicated course. Non-vegetarian starters include crispy soft shell crab with curry leaf, Goan spices, celeriac, carrot and apple coleslaw, plum chutney and carrot, along with the famous chicken tikka with a twist – made with white pepper, cashew nut, Kasoori methi, kachumber salad and plum chutney. Minced lamb comes coated in poppy seeds and rolled into skewers, or in the form of chops marinated with kashmiri chilli, yoghurt, cloves and cardamom. There are many vegetarian starters to choose from, too, including the super tasty, creamy, crushed seasonal vegetable croquettes with mozzarella cheese and tomato chutney.
While there are traditional curries on the menu, like the beloved chicken tikka masala, rogan josh, murgh jalfrezi and lamb vindaloo, the menu features a broad selection of house special mains. We love the sound of the tandoori king prawns marinated with yellow chilli powder, kasundi mustard and dill, served with a creamy korma sauce, lemon rice and beans poriyal. There's also an extensive assortment of sides, rice and breads, including the popular tarka dal and mushroom pilau rice.
