A lovingly restored Georgian property, Manor House Lindley offers a cosy place to stay, dine and relax in Huddersfield. This magical venue may be traditional from the outside, but when you walk through the doors, you'll be greeted by stunning, award winning interiors and a relaxing atmosphere for your next dining experience.
The Lantern Room is the hotel's main restaurant, with three AA Rosettes to its name. John and his exceptional team have created menus that focus on harmonious flavours captured within intricate dishes. The a la carte dinner menu is served Wednesday to Saturday, whilst on Sundays, you can expect a traditional three course roast, showcasing the very best of British produce.
If you'll never pass up an opportunity to try new, exciting flavours, book the tasting night's experience and enjoy eight to 10 inspirational and thought provoking courses. The sample menu shows a first course of beef and oyster croustade with citrus cured trout and blood orange, followed by ale sourdough and pork butter. Next up is a delicious, caramelised roscoff onion tart fine, and galentine of spring chicken and smoked ham. The heart of the main courses includes Shetland turbot with wild garlic and white asparagus, and stuffed saddle of lamb 'Belle Epoque'.
Cleanse your palette with beetroot, lemon thyme, verjus and meringue, before a final dessert of Tomlinson's rhubarb and sour cream. Last but not least, it's sweet treats and hot drinks. The Sunday roasts do change based on what's best available each season, but you can expect to find starters of leek and potato veloute with crispy leeks and chives, roasts of rump of beef, pork loin, violet and Jerusalem artichoke and wild halibut.
