I’ve been robbed. Beware, check and question your bill!

I enjoyed the food and beer  BUT Dod not approve of being overcharged by approx £11.00

initially I was presented with a bill of over £64.00 then it was reduced by £10.00 like a fool I paid without checking. Shortly after I telephoned 7 times mostly ignored but was told a manager will call me. Didn't happen!!!

lesson* Don't trust these people. Ask for the prices before ordering. If you have a drink they will definitely try taking advantage.
I am a regular customer of several years. They won't get away with robbing me. Watch this space.
such a shame as it has been a good restaurant in past times.

Not what it used to be

Seems to have slipped in quality, not what I remember.

As ever at The India the food was great as was the service. However when coming to pay the bill, and noticing that the 30% advertised discount had not been deducted I was told that because I had not booked through the restaurant's website I was not entitled to it. Despite remonstrating with the staff I was informed that the full price would be payable – a salutary warning to anyone looking to save a few quid with supposed ‘special offers’. I have eaten at The India many times on the past but will not now be frequenting in the future given their unhelpful and frankly misleading attitude. Buyer beware!

A slightly different menu made this a good option for us, rather than the same items. Service was good.
