Set opposite Victoria Station, The Alchemist Victoria is an international restaurant and experimental cocktail bar known for its theatrical approach to food and drink. Open for lunch and dinner, it provides a lively setting suited to birthday celebrations, romantic dates, family meals and special occasions.
Breakfast and brunch include a selection of comfort food with an experimental twist. Guests can choose from plates such as the Full Alchemist, breakfast burritos, chicken and waffles, French toast and pancakes, alongside classics including Eggs Florentine and Eggs Benedict. Even the hot drinks reflect the venue’s creative approach. Alongside standard coffee options, there are alternatives such as white chocolate mint frappe and turmeric and spicy mango latte.
The main menu draws on global influences and is designed for sharing. Guests can begin with small plates such as crispy gyozas, cauliflower bites, spicy fried chicken and Guinness rarebit. Larger dishes include tempura fish and chips, katsu curry, ribeye steak and lobster mac and cheese. Sharing platters combine buttermilk chicken, tempura prawns and vegetable gyozas, while plant based options are available across the menu. Smoking boards are served on heated skillets and assembled fajita style with beef fillet steak, barbecue chicken or plant based goujons.
Cocktails form the centrepiece of the experience and arrive with theatrical flair. The Zombie blends Bacardi rum with pineapple and cranberry and arrives with a syringe of liquid for guests to add themselves, while Bong Voyage is presented in a glass vessel overflowing with dry ice. The Cosmic Conch mixes Caribbean spiced rum with luminous sea foam. These serves sit alongside a wider selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks.
Close to Victoria Station, the venue is easily accessible for both local residents and visitors. A central bar anchors the dark interior, framed by arched lighting and red velvet seating, creating a glamorous yet cosy atmosphere for dining and drinks.
