The cottage is a beautiful thatched building in the centre of a village. The real draw however, is the close proximity to the splendid university city of Cambridge. Here you will be spoilt for choice with things to do including punting on the River Camb, open top bus tours and guided walking tours.
Cambridge also offers some amazing museums including the Fitzwillliam, galleries and lots of great places to eat, drink and shop. History and aviation buffs alike will enjoy The Imperial War Musuem Duxford and the city of Ely with its magnificent cathedral rising up on the skyline, and aptly named ‘the ship of the fens’. It’s also a relatively short hop to the historical towns of Bury St Edmunds and Saffron Walden, both of which are worth exploring. And, those looking to get back to nature can enjoy a visit to the Welney Wetlands Park.
