Call Red Pump Inn to make a booking on:
Drive through the meandering country lanes on the edge of the stunning Trough of Bowland and you’ll find this handsome old pub by the roadside. The south-facing terrace is a great place to enjoy a
glass of something chilled on a warm day, while the bar is a welcoming place, with stone floors, open fires & richly worn oak settles & tables. Local beers include Grindleton Ribble Rouser,
brewed down the road in Clitheroe, & there’s every chance of sharing a pint with the local shoot during the season. Choose between two dining rooms in the evening: one cosy, with dark red
walls, the other with a polished wooden floor & stripped-pine furniture. The menu is big on local game & might include jugged hare. A good start is slow-roasted duck leg with homemade
orange marmalade, followed perhaps by roasted belly pork or delicious homemade Red Pump sausages with herbs from the garden, served with champ & minted gravy.
