The Beaumont has, over the last decade, made a name for itself as a must-visit hotel in Mayfair brimming with Art Deco design and great dining options - it's a reputation that only improves with Pearl, the hotel's stand-alone Mediterranean-inspired restaurant.
It's hard not to notice the restaurant's design. A beautiful, large, light-filled dining room is accessorised with statement armchairs filling the middle section bringing print and texture to the space, while elegant lighting fixtures hang above and expressive artworks decorate the walls. There's a mix of seating across dining chairs, squishy armchairs, larger tables and bar stools, perfect for cocktail hour.
The concept is rooted in Mediterranean cuisine but stretches far and wide, from Spain to Italy and Greece. Particularly, the stunning, outdoor terrace is inspired by the piazzas of Milan and coastal Riviera promenades, bringing some Italian glamour to central London. The space has been imagined for larger parties and to give Londoners an impressive al fresco space in the heart of the city, designed by the late renowned landscape architect and horticulturalist Nigel Dunnett.
As for the menu, the team here pride themselves on crafting a food menu that'll take diners from early breakfast to late-night tipples. The offering has been carefully put together by the hotel's Culinary Director Lisa Goodwin-Allen who says she wants guests to feel the 'warmth, generosity and flavours of the Mediterranean' with every bite. You can enjoy signature dishes like cheese, grated tomato and Serrano ham-filled croissants first thing, carbonara croquettes for lunch, and native lobster linguine in the evening.
The name Pearl feels especially apt for a restaurant that harks to coastal dining and stuns with visual elegance. It's also a symbol of the Art Deco design period, nods to which you'll find around the space with metallic detailing, arched shapes and chic champagne coupes with ribbed details. This is one to bring your camera to, that's for sure.
