Nomad Café & Deli is a family-run spot on Beulah Street in the centre of Harrogate, bringing together flavours from across the Mediterranean and beyond. With more than two decades of history in the town, it has established itself as a relaxed, welcoming place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee and something sweet.
The menu takes a broad approach to global cooking, with plenty of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences alongside familiar café favourites. Breakfast and brunch cover everything from more traditional dishes to shakshuka-style eggs, while later in the day the choice expands to gyros, kebabs, burgers, wraps, bruschetta and generous mezze platters. The Moroccan and Mediterranean influences are particularly evident in the mezze, while the gyros and other grilled dishes add a more substantial option for lunch.
Vegetarians and vegans are especially well catered for, with the café highlighting its extensive plant-based offering. Its chef's special mezze platter is one of the signatures, bringing together a colourful selection designed for sharing. There’s also a tempting selection of cakes and baklava for those who prefer to keep things sweet, alongside coffee and other drinks.
The atmosphere is colourful and homely, with decorative mirrors, patterned china and Mediterranean-inspired artwork giving the relatively compact space plenty of personality. Nomad also offers takeaway food and has more than 20 years' experience catering for events, with menus available for different dietary requirements.
