Set to open this December beside the Odeon cinema, Market Place Leicester Square will house 16 different vendors spread across five floors. Alongside its global food offerings, it will also feature three bars, with fast-pour cocktails available at street level and pint-sized cocktails on the balcony overlooking Leicester Square.
After an initial Peckham debut, Market Place has spread across London, with outposts in Vauxhall, St Pauls and Harrow. The new Leicester Square Market Place brings the London total to four, and will also serve as an event space, complete with private dining rooms, a cinema screen, live music, DJ sets, and comedy nights.
Exact vendor names are yet to be announced, but are expected to be similar to existing offerings at other Market Place sites, including tacos, Neapolitan-style pizzas, burgers, and Thai concepts, among many others.
Managing director at Market Place, Blake Henderson, said: ‘We started Market Place with one neighbourhood site in Peckham and in a few short years it has grown across the city.
‘Leicester Square is the biggest leap forward yet. It is one of the most famous squares in the world and we are proud to bring our biggest Market Place yet right to the heart of the West End.
‘This flagship is everything Market Place stands for. Incredible food, great drinks, live entertainment and a space where Londoners and visitors can celebrate together.’
