Taking inspiration from the tap rooms you'll find across New York, Mother Kelly's was founded with the mission to become a relaxed atmosphere that customers would want to return to, with multiple draught taps and ever changing beers to enjoy. The first Mother Kelly's branch was opened in 2014, and from there, the family has grown to include sites in Bethnal Green, Stratford, Tottenham and this one in Vauxhall.
The Vauxhall location is the biggest in the Mother Kelly's family, and you'll find all the venues to be stripped back with simple design, where beer is what takes centre stage. Customers are invited to peruse the fridges and help themselves to beers, rather than needing to try and catch sight of what's behind the bar. The beauty of the idea is that Mother Kelly's has 30 beers on tap at any one time, ranging from easy-drinking session IPAs to craft lagers, stouts, porters and more - it's the perfect spot for beer connoisseurs, or anyone that likes to have plenty of choice when it comes to a tipple. Mother Kelly's Vauxhall also has not one but two outdoor areas, so you're always likely to find a spot to enjoy those refreshing post-work al fresco beers in the evening sun.
Inside Mother Kelly’s in Vauxhall, you’ll find true New York style Stackin Dough pizza - perfect drinking food if ever we've seen it. Stackin Dough slings out classic pizzas like a margherita, pepperoni with parmesan and basil, the 'Stackin’ Heat' topped with mozzarella, chorizo, hot peppers and jalapenos, and a mushroom option with plenty of cheese, garlic, parsley and truffle oil. You can choose to level up your slice (or whole pizza) with buffalo, garlic or nduja mayo sauce too.
