Megan’s started life as a little neighbourhood café on the King’s Road, and despite now having restaurants dotted all over London (and beyond), it’s somehow managed to hang onto its laid-back charm and “just popped out to get a flat white and a pastry” vibe. The décor is always somewhere between fairy-lit garden party and Instagram dreamscape, and the food – inspired by sunny Mediterranean flavours – is the kind you could happily eat morning, noon and night.
Their Battersea outpost might just be one of the most exciting, tucked inside the iconic Battersea Power Station – a building so lovingly and impressively restored, it deserves its own round of applause. The area has had a serious glow-up in recent years, and Megan’s fits right in with its bright, buzzy atmosphere and eclectic charm. Whether you’re rounding up friends for a boozy brunch or treating your nan to a spot of lunch, this is the kind of place where everyone feels instantly at ease (and a little bit cooler by association).
The menu is generously Mediterranean, which is code for you’ll want to order everything. The Open ‘Posh’ Lamb Doner is a real crowd-pleaser – basically a glow-up of your favourite late-night snack, served respectably on a plate. While the warm butternut grain bowl sounds like heaven, mixing mixed grains, kale, harissa hummus and shakshouka beans together for mouthfulls of heartiness. And, if you don't order your fair share of salted caramel and tahini ice cream in a cute coupe, you've missed a trick!
Megan’s Battersea is casual in the best way – the sort of place where a bottle of rosé and some cheesy fondue fries make everything right with the world. It’s good vibes, good food, and the perfect excuse to get everyone together and pretend you’re all on holiday in Greece.
