A buzzing, funky Indian restaurant based in Wallington, Mango Lounge is coolly modern yet boasts a formal, fine dining atmosphere. Found on the main Stafford Road, Mango Lounge holds it’s own –
stands out even – among the numerous other restaurants along this busy stretch. Appropriately decked out in warm orangey tones, the Mango Lounge interior is visible from the street thanks to a
plate glass frontage, allowing passers by to be tempted in by the warmth of the atmosphere and the sophistication promised by smartly dressed waiters, large, comfortable leather seating and
intimate lighting. Mango Lounge’s menu is purely Indian, however amongst the many choices you’ll find wonderful hints of Western flavour, bringing a traditional cuisine up to date by giving it a
more local perspective. Both vegetarians and meat eaters will find something to please them here, the dishes selected from all four corners of India, including typical curries and unusual regional

This has been the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. An argumentative 'so called' owner. Under filling the drinks, serving food at DANGER ZONE temperatures.Served food so quick, it could not have possibly been cooked fresh. When I was asked if everything was ok, I dared to mention the Bajiis that were not cooked through, at which point the owner picked up the plate, stabbed his finger into the food and stated that 'it feels hot enough to me' and then threw the plate back on the table. I also reminded them that I had ordered something else that had not arrived, to which i was told 'no you didn't'.I never got a chance to tell them that the rice was not hot enough to be safe to eat. Then there was the wine that had been under poured, which was what set the little guy off in the first place. Under filing drinks carries a 2 year prison sentence or a very hefty fine. When i reported them to the environmental health, I was told that this restaurant is on the 'watch list' for poor hygiene as they only scraped through with a '3' during their last inspection. This is not good enough rating for an establishment to eat at without risk of falling ill. Especially as a lot of staff have limited understanding of our hygiene rules like washing your hands after you have been to the toilet. A good restaurant will have a '5' rating. When I got up to leave, I was met with a barrage of abuse from the little guy. Told to get my coat and leave! This entire interaction took less than 15 minutes. Needlesstosay, I did not consume the food or drink beyond the first mouthful.Sick stomach from the bad food the next day, even though I had only eaten a mouthful of each of the two dishes.IT IS USUALLY THE RICE WITH ITS MYCOTOXINS THAT GIVES YOU BAD GUTS. THIS PLACE HAS NO IDEA ABOUT FOOD HYGIENE AND IF YOU DARE TO CRITIZISE THE FOOD, YOU WILL BE KICKED OUT!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTHVisited November 2019
We waited over 20min between popodum and orders to be taken for mail meal.
We asked for the bill 3 times in half an hour and yet we were ignored.
Upon walking out it was thank you thank you
Then we were followed and threatened with the police.
No your service was shit. I was intending to pay. Not my issue
