Maggie's

Named after Britain’s first female prime minister, Maggie’s pays homage to the infamous 80s and the Iron Lady’s glory days. You can listen to old Thatcher speeches while you’re in the loo, check out the bottle of Champagne signed by Lady T herself or amuse yourself by perusing the political memorabilia and graffiti on the walls. DJs spin sounds from the period, while waitresses with permed wigs serve guests sitting at giant Rubik’s cube tables. It may be deliberately themed, but the mood is bang up to date, so brace yourself for the late-night mayhem or call in early and soak up the wacky interiors with a cocktail shaken by a bartender dressed like Tom Cruise in Top Gun: run with the theme by ordering a retro Babycham or a shot of purple rain (Beefeater gin, elderflower, blackberries, apple and Prosecco). Note that Maggie's is a members' bar, but non-members are welcome to visit as long as they make a table reservation.
