Lula is an all day dining modern European restaurant serving sharing style plates elevated with seasonal produce. Headed up by Paul Delrez, famed for his social media presence and appearance on Top Chef, Lula aims to bring a Mediterranean vibrancy to West London. The restaurant is spread over two floors with a private dining space - ‘the loft’ - on the top floor. This room is flooded with natural light and is a popular choice for large groups or special occasions. The main dining room boasts fancy touches like white tablecloths to add an exclusive feel without feeling stuffy, while moody lighting, lush greenery and exposed brick walls ensure the space still feels relaxed and cool. There is also a covered terrace, perfect for a cocktail and nibble or al fresco dining.
The menu changes frequently according to what’s in season and what local suppliers have in stock. However, you can expect an array of tasty European dishes best enjoyed shared by a group. Start with plates of nduja clams, aubergine capaccio with labneh and marbled tahini, and steak tartare, before moving onto hearty mains like aged rib eye with green steak sauce, four cheese paccheri pasta with pangrattato crumb, and roasted spiced cauliflower with harissa beurre blanc.
Equal attention is given to the sides; you won’t find any limp salads or overcooked beans here. Dig into leeks with tarragon vinaigrette and buttermilk, delicia roasted squash with crispy onions, and Cypriot potatoes with lemon, garlic and oregano, if you have room. Finish with a slice of burnt Basque cheesecake or tiramisu for a truly indulgent meal. There is also a dedicated weekend lunch menu, as well as seasonal offerings like the festive dinner menu, which has a four course set option, perfect for large groups.
On the drinks side, expect classic and signature cocktails, as well as a wine list offering new and old world labels, with plenty available by the glass.
