On the old Como Lario site in Holbein Place, Liv opened two years ago. the interiors are simple but warm. the service is even warmer and knowledgeable. we went on the last night before the second lockdown, so not everything on the menu was understandably available (scallops and oysters).
The starters of beef carpaccio, smoked salmon, burrata were beautifully done with just enough drizzle of appropriate sauces. the mains of maple glazed duck breast and faggot, confit and roasted hake were sublime. the chef clearly takes great effort in executing each dish to perfection.
We will return in December for the tasting menu which sadly was not availble due to the lockdown, but reads like a hall of fame of all one's favourites. at £45.00 it must also be one of the best value in all of London. highly recommend.
