Ed, Manu and Stephen are the trio of friends behind the Le Bab group of London restaurants and have been working together on perfecting the world of kebabs for over eight years. With a passion for new techniques, quality dining, top ingredients and a pocket full of inventive ideas, Le Bab Covent Garden is truly something rather special.
Taking the traditional flavours of Turkish, Persian, South Asian and Lebanese kebabs and blending them all together, Le Bab has brought more of a fine dining element to the traditional dish. The inviting and modern space was designed by Angus Buchanan and feels unpretentious yet polished.
For your main, try the salad bowl piled high with roasted aubergine, served on a bed of quinoa, foragers mix salad, celery salsa, roasted butternut squash, hummus and crispy kale, topped with pine nuts, sumac, pomegranate and Eaten Alive kraut, with pomegranate dressing, or the free range chicken in a creamy garlic butter sauce, made with The Estate Dairy butter, smothered on a garlic butter naan, with herb yogurt, crispy onions and coriander. Sounds pretty delightful, right?
The Le Bab Covent Garden menu also includes a selection of mezze plates to share, including Flat Iron hummus served with BBQ steak, chimichurri, shallot relish and flatbread, and the signature Le Bab fried chicken tossed in sticky date sauce with chilli and soy glaze served with homemade garlic mayo and spring onions.
Other mezze dishes include the Calabrian chilli hot honey halloumi, organic broccoli with chipotle tahini and fondue fries with the signature Le Bab cheese fondue. Treat yourself to a delicious Le Bab Covent Garden cocktail to go with your meal, like a classic Old Fashioned or Pimms and lemonade, or the Twinkle, made with 42 Below vodka, St Germain elderflower liqueur and prosecco.
