Kamara Cocktail Bar is located on Poland Street, in the heart of Soho, one of London’s most vibrant and culturally diverse neighbourhoods. Soho is known for its nightlife, independent restaurants, theatres and creative energy, making it a fitting setting for a bar that blends Mediterranean inspiration with contemporary London style. Positioned above the new Brother Marcus Soho restaurant, Kamara occupies the former site of Jason Atherton’s Blind Pig bar, placing it in a well-established hospitality hotspot.
The bar is the latest project from the team behind Brother Marcus, created in collaboration with acclaimed bar developer Angelos Bafas, known for his work on Soma, Kioku Sake Bar and Nipperkin. Kamara’s interior is designed as a modern Athenian hideaway, featuring terracotta walls, plush velvet seating and warm, atmospheric lighting, creating a sultry, intimate environment ideal for date nights, small groups and late-evening drinks. Its discreet entrance and intimate, upstairs setting give Kamara the feel of a hidden neighbourhood gem, offering a calm, elegant retreat from the energy of Soho’s surrounding streets.
Kamara specialises in Greek-influenced and Eastern Mediterranean cocktails, many of which incorporate house-made ferments stored in traditional amphorae. The drinks list is inventive and story-driven, with each cocktail crafted to reflect flavours from across the Mediterranean region. Alongside the drinks, the bar serves a selection of mezze-style small plates, designed for sharing and complementing the cocktail menu.
The venue offers a relaxed yet refined atmosphere that contrasts with Soho’s bustling streets. With its hidden-away feel, elegant design and distinctive Mediterranean-led drinks programme, Kamara Cocktail Bar has quickly become a standout addition to Soho’s bar scene, appealing to cocktail enthusiasts and those seeking a stylish, intimate spot in central London.
