Junction is a bar, restaurant, cafe and workspace that brings people together from early morning coffee through to workout classes followed by cocktails late into the evening. This really is a one stop shop for a good time. You’ll have to find something else fun to do on Sundays, though, as Junction is closed for a reset day.
Breakfast is served from 8am every day, and has a number of delicious dishes from the kitchen and the counter to enjoy. Mains include a natural yoghurt bowl with homemade hazelnut granola, berries, natural yoghurt and local honey, a delicious poppy seed bagel with dill creamed cheese, smoked salmon, lemon and black pepper, and very popular bacon bap – containing Martins’ Manchester barm, grilled streaky bacon and a fried egg. The counter always had a selection of freshly baked pastries and sweet treats, including the likes of a dark chocolate and orange brownie, caramel biscuit tiffin with marshmallow, honeycomb and cherries, and apricot and sour cranberry flapjack.
Served from midday, the lounge menu includes a deliciously spicy Korean chicken toasted sandwich with kimchi mayo and pickled cabbage in brioche loaf, a soup of the day, and pan con tomate. Bigger plates include a Caesar salad with Cacklebean egg, butternut gnocchi with salsa verde, romanesco and sunflower seeds, and beef burger in a potato bun with emmental cheese and smoke salted fries. We would be sure to enjoy dessert at the end of our meal, perhaps ordering Martin's brioche and strawberries with Hugh Lowe farm strawberries, sherry, Martin's brioche and crème diplomat, a rich dark chocolate mousse with raspberries, honeycomb and mint, and tangy lemon tart with strained sheep's yoghurt.
