Jalisco is a family run restaurant that has been serving up warm and hearty Latin American inspired dishes in the heart of Brixton for the last 8 years. Jalisco is the passion of husband and wife team Wilson and Carolina, Wilson trained as a chef in London, and his ambition is to bring a genuine flavour of Venezuelan warmth and hospitality to South London.
They were first drawn to the neighbourhood over 19 years ago because of the people and community – and the positive vibe and sense of belonging that they feel here! Their aim has always been to offer delicious comfort food that is great value, and served the authentic Latin American way with the minimum of fuss.
Wilson and Carolina are proud to share their love of Latin cuisine and culture, and to offer a menu of Venezuelan and regional Central American classics, infused with traditional ingredients and using time honoured family recipes that have been honed to perfection over several generations.
Wilson’s mother Marlene is a regular fixture in the kitchen and you have to try her slow cooked carne merchada!
