This is my favourite local for an unplanned, unpretentious meal out with my husband or a nice, quiet evening out with a friend that I haven't met for a while to have a good catch-up. I love the pasta dishes, all freshly home made and always different types (linguine, fettuccine, ravioli and some tiny sardinian pasta shapes I've forgotten the name of) with delicious sauces (lobster, crab, prawns, veal/rabbit/venison/quail ragu, truffles, courgettes…). The portions are VERY large so go easy on the starters! We tend to just share a platter of antipasto or even just get some of the sardinian flat crisp bread and olives to be able to manage the main course.
The menu tends to change quite often which gives a nice variety, but most dishes are so nice you don't want them to ever come off the menu – and they do seem to come back with some regularity. The wine list is short and uncomplicated, most or all wines also served by the glass. Perfect for when you want a nice and tasty meal out with no hassle, no difficult decisions and no massive bill in the end. Prices have gone up since the place was refurbushed a while ago, but still very good value for money.
