About

Bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to the heart of the City, Haz Premier Place is a stylish restaurant in Aldgate serving Turkish-inspired cuisine just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station. Open for both lunch and dinner, it’s a versatile spot suited to everything from business lunches and after-work drinks to date nights and birthday celebrations.

Founded by Haci, Zafer and Ahmed, the light-filled restaurant combines contemporary style with Mediterranean warmth. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, while marble flooring, rich brown leather seating and a striking marble bar create an elegant first impression. Elsewhere, concrete-effect walls are softened by arched mirrors, terracotta accents and leafy plants dotted throughout the restaurant.

The menu showcases a broad selection of Mediterranean dishes with Turkish influences. Guests can begin with a range of meze such as hummus, babaganoush, falafel, grilled octopus and artichoke dishes before moving on to more substantial mains.

Traditional mangal specialities cooked over the grill include lamb shish, chicken shish, kofte and mixed grills, while seafood lovers can choose from dishes such as grilled monkfish, swordfish and Cornish crab spaghetti. Vegetarian options are equally well represented, with choices including vegetable moussaka. Lighter options include avocado and goat’s cheese salad or grilled chicken shish salad, while hearty mains such as lamb tagine and meat moussaka cater to larger appetites.

To finish, desserts include baklava served with pistachio and honey cream, poached pear with vanilla ice cream and classic creme brulee. An extensive drinks list features wines, beers, ciders, cocktails, mocktails and spirits alongside Turkish tea and fresh mint tea. A dedicated bar menu allows guests to enjoy lighter bites and drinks, and gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

I have been here several times for lunch and dinner, always leaving well fed and happy. All the food from the grill has been good, the service excellent and fun and the atmosphere lively. Overall, nothing spectacular but good value and fun.

The food is good, is has to be otherwise this little taste of the middle east would have closed years ago. I understand that the shared tables idea is one brought from the middle east but its just not cricket and does not work ~ unless you have enough people to fill the whole table of course. A no no for a business lunch as you cant hear yourself speak let alone your client / MD. However, if you've a gang of giggly girls or your mates from the rugby club fancy a posh kebab and a few beers and a laugh its a good choice.

Portions were minimal and not particularly good quality. Very noisy on a Friday night. We booked in advance but were still placed by the door, so kept getting blasted with cold air during the meal. Service slow and not very courteous. Only redeeming factor is that it's fairly cheap – but I wouldn't go there again.
