Set on West Carriage Drive, within The Serpentine's North Gallery, Friends Of Ours is an Australian-inspired, all-day restaurant built around relaxed dining, bold flavours and a buzzy, laid-back atmosphere.
From coffee and brunch dishes through to lunch, sharing plates, wine and cocktails, menus are inspired by the laid-back approach of Australian food culture. The team champions seasonal produce, vibrant flavours and generous, unfussy hospitality, with globally-inspired dishes that translate from day to night.
In the morning, stop by for indulgent breakfast and brunch plates, from wild mushrooms with smoked creamed corn on dusty knuckle sourdough to sticky toffee banana bread with butterscotch sauce and clotted cream. Later on in the day, the menu switches over to small plates, flatbreads and a selection of signature all-day dishes. If you’re just popping in for a bite with something to drink, dishes such as burrata with pickled cedro, caramelised grapes and za’atar make a fine snack to pair alongside. While freshly-made flatbreadas topped with n'duja Fior di latte, pickled courgettes, shaved fennel and herbs are an easy win at any time of day.
In the evening, the team doles out larger, vibrant plates, such as chicken schnitzel with baby gem salad, Manchego, caesar dressing and Spanish anchovies, to bavette with chimichurri and fries.
Got room for dessert? Take your pick from the likes of warm madeleines with burnt butter and lime glaze, or baked rice pudding with poached rhubarb.
The drinks menu follows a similar all-day approach, from teas and coffees through to Spritz’, wines and cocktails.
Whether you’re starting the day with coffee, grabbing lunch with friends, or gathering a group for plates to share and a glass (or two) of something good, Friends Of Ours offers an easy-going, welcoming and community-led space where everyone is always welcome.
