With venues that reinvented golf and bowling doing brisk trades, darts are the next old school pastime ripe for a reboot. Set over two sprawling levels, each served by its own bar and upbeat staff, Russell Sage Studio’s slick cod-Edwardian games hall is a well-appointed setting for London's new ‘home of social darts.’ Accommodating two to 20 players, numerous boards are for hire, priced up to a maximum £30 per hour. Darts for Dummies-style guides mean you’ll quickly pick up the gist of various fun games. Even if you don’t feel like stepping up to the oche, Flight Club doubles as a handy City/Shoreditch cocktail lounge-cum-diner. Mixes such as Sweet Success, Shanghai Sling and Coco Fumada (a twisted Piña Colada slushie) come in at around £9, and the Champions Cup a Bulleit bourbon punchbowl to share. Order wines from £19 and lad lagers with street food-style filled buns, pizza paddles and salads. Fried mac 'n' cheese croquettes, Scotch egg with mustard mayo and coconut popcorn chicken with sweet chilli sauce are among various small plates to share from £4.50. Forget Jim Bowen’s Bullseye, Flight Club’s clever concept is bang on target for its City clientele.
