Situated a stone’s throw from Paddington station, this branch of the Flavors mini-chain offers mainstream Indian cooking in a vibrant setting of tiled floors, earthy fabrics and orange lanterns,
with a galleried area above and a bar designed to resemble an Asian ‘tuk-tuk’. The extensive, 100-dish menu brings together a host of curry-house staples, alongside a smattering of regional
variations – so expect a full quota of tikkas and tandooris, biryanis, dhansaks and bhunas as well as specialities such as Kashmiri marinated lamb chops and Goan fish curry with coconut milk.
Vegetarians do well here, with a decent choice of mains as well as the obligatory sides – check out the mixed vegetable jalfrezi and khum bhutta bhaji (mushrooms and baby corn tossed in khadai
masala gravy). To drink, Kingfisher and Cobra beer are alternatives to the short global wine list. Takeaways too.
