East Quay Kitchen is a restaurant, cafe and bar on the ground floor of Watchet's East Quay exhibition centre, serving Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch, afternoon bar snacks and evening meals. The cafe also sells a range of cakes and coffees for those who want to stop in for a quick snack.

Inside the cafe is neatly styled with timber furniture and rattan lampshades, and colourful crockery and potted plants lining shelves along the walls. On Watchet's sunnier days the front windows can be thrown open to open up the space, but even when closed, they provide plenty of natural light inside and East Quay Kitchen is a bright and airy space to stop for coffee or lunch. There are also outside tables and chairs on the terrace area just outside the restaurant, which sits right next to Watchet Marina where local boats reside.

Breakfast at East Quay ranges from a few slices of sourdough toast with preserves, to flatbreads with harissa fried eggs, a mixed berry smoothie bowl with granola, or vegan potato hash with mushrooms and vegan feta. Come noon, the menu switches into a variety of mezze small plates and larger mains for lunch, with dishes at the time of writing including hummus with chilli oil and mint, pork and fennel meatballs in tomato sauce, halloumi fries with lime yoghurt and pomegranate molasses aubergine with lemon and herb cous cous. East Quay Kitchen also has kids covered with a special selection of kids breakfast and lunch dishes.

Meanwhile, there's a simple selection of desserts on offer in the form of ice creams and sorbets - East Quay Kitchen can even whip you up an affogato to give you a boost of energy to go and explore the art exhibition spaces next door, which feature regularly changing artist residencies.
