Sadly Serafino closed in 2012 but its sister restaurant on the other side of Mount St is still going strong. Delfino is rustic Italian cafe in layout with tables close together. Not intimate but it makes for a lively atmosphere. What really draws people in is the excellent service and superb food. Tasty and interesting salads are complemented by huge pizzas with thin crust, generous toppings and a noticeable lack of grease. Not a T-bird or Pink Lady in sight. You could find yourself sitting at a table next to the hedge fund crowd in their Savile Row suits, rich ladies discussing their purchases from the nearby boutiques of Louboutin, Balenciaga, Jenny Packham etc or the lads redecorating the local Gina. Whatever the crowd, it always has a nice feel to match the quality food.

Delfino's has the best Pizza in London by far! My husband and I were so excited to find a place that served crispy crust pizza with great quality toppings…not to meniton the starters and salad. We have tried all Pizza's from Soho to Nottinghill and Delfino's beats all of them. The service and staff are top notch- they are friendly and now we are frequent customers (weekly). The friends we have brought to Delfinos turn into regular customers as well- It is our favourite place to eat in London

Visited Delfino's on Saturday evening with a group of singers from the Choir of the 21st Century, just before our concert at nearby Grosvenor Chapel. The food was delicious – really crispy pizzas with generous toppings, substantial fresh salads and very tasty garlic bread. The service was excellent and the staff very attentive. When one of our party dropped a glass a waiter was on the scene with a dustpan and brush within seconds. Highly recommended.

After reading the review on Square Meal, decided to book a table for 25 at Delfino's on a Saturday night. The person on the phone was really nice and flexible (as it was orginially 20 people). On the night, we were booked in for 8pm, but we had some people come in a bit late (8:30 -9). We were rushed into ordering food and felt hurried by the staff, although we had ordered drinks right from the start (lots of wine and beer), so couldn't see the issue of us waiting for everyone to arrive (especially as the restaurant wasn't that busy!). Food was good, everyone enjoyed their pizzas, and the tiramisu went down a treat. They even sang Happy Birthday to the birthday boy and everything. However, when it came down to split the bill between 25 people, the staff proved incompetent and rude. All 25 people paid (and had the receipts from their cards to prove it), yet they insisted that one person didn't pay – when we said that if was due to their lack of organisation and it would have to come out of the optional tip, one of the waitresses turned very rude and even said : 'Well, that's the last time we take a booking from you'. Being threatened wasn't a very nice experience, especially as there's lots of pizza places to go to in London! To say the least, they made a lot of money out of us that evening and yet they managed to lose the custom of 25 people who won't be going back there.
