The second site for pizza purveyors Crust Bros (the original is in Waterloo) finds its home at Ram Quarter in Wandsworth, with the team having taken over the kitchen at the new Sambrook’s Brewery Tap.
Crust Bros originally debuted in London back in 2017 and is known for making its pizza bases entirely from scratch, using 00 flour, fresh yeast and a 48 hour-proved dough. The result is the restaurant’s signature pizzas, which are characterised by their pillowy-soft, leopard print-charred, big crusts. This second site is a much larger proposition, with Sambrook’s tap room able to accommodate up to 160 diners at any one time.
Beer lovers visiting the tap room will be able to choose from a selection of Crust Bro’s most popular signature pizzas, including the Notorious P.I.G made with tomato, mozzarella, basil, ham and mushrooms and the Olivin’ It Up which arrives topped with tomato, mozzarella, basil, artichokes, olives and mushrooms. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners aren’t left out of the fun either, with both vegan cheese and gluten-free bases available upon request.
Elsewhere on the menu, you can find a range of totally customisable pizzas, with guests able to create their own ideal pizza and tailor the toppings entirely to their preference. Naturally, pizzas here are washed down with Sambrooks’ 15-strong selection of IPAs, pilsners, bitters and ryes, all of which are brewed on site.
Every Saturday and Sunday, Crust Bros Wandsworth gets into the weekend party spirit with a bottomless brunch, where guests can enjoy 90 minutes of unlimited pizza and beer. A great shout for groups, the bottomless brunch can be enjoyed inside the large, spacious taproom, or on warmer days, guests can venture outside to have brunch in the 50-cover beer garden.
Crust Bros also plants a tree for every pizza sold - another nice touch.
