Crema Coffee is an independent café on the edge of Harrogate’s Valley Gardens, founded by Simon and Shaun with a focus on good food, expertly made coffee and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that works equally well for a morning coffee and pastry, a leisurely lunch or a catch-up over something more substantial, with a menu that goes well beyond the usual café staples.
Coffee is central to the offering, with Crema working with specialist roaster Divine Coffee Roasters and its trained baristas to serve carefully prepared coffees throughout the day. You can also buy Divine’s beans to take home, while the drinks menu extends to tea, cordials, soft drinks, wine and craft beer.
Food covers all the bases, from traditional breakfast dishes to a dedicated brunch selection and a range of homemade cakes. The menu includes porridge, granola, eggs on sourdough and a full English, alongside more indulgent options such as Halloumi Benedict, the Crema Sunrise Stack and pancakes with toppings including bacon and maple syrup, banana and caramel, or fruit and yoghurt. Brunch brings dishes such as hot honey halloumi, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale, smashed avocado and The American, a generous combination of buttermilk pancakes, bacon, sausage, poached eggs, tater tots and maple syrup.
Where possible, Crema uses locally sourced fresh produce, while its cakes are made by other independent businesses in Harrogate. The café is also dog friendly, reflecting its laid-back approach to dining.
