Corner New Cross is an independent, queer-led café, bar and community space on New Cross Road in southeast London. Just a short walk from New Cross and New Cross Gate stations, it’s become a neighbourhood favourite where good coffee, good conversation and creativity come together.
By day, Corner serves speciality coffee alongside pastries, homemade cakes and freshly prepared light bites in a relaxed space that’s equally suited to catching up with friends, working remotely or taking a break from the bustle of south London. Regulars sit alongside students, freelancers and visitors, giving the café its friendly, welcoming feel.
As the day turns into evening, Corner Lates takes over, with cocktails, wine, craft beer and a programme of exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances and community events. The café also doubles as a contemporary gallery, with a rolling programme of exhibitions showcasing both emerging and established artists.
At its heart, Corner is about bringing people together. As a queer-led venue, it works closely with artists, charities and community groups to create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re stopping by for a morning coffee, an exhibition opening or an evening event, you’ll find a space that’s as much about community as it is great hospitality.
