This youthful, caffeine-loving café pays scrupulous attention to detail, even listing technical specs about its machines & grinders. Some might consider that too much information, but there's
no denying that Coho makes a good cup of coffee – its fruity house blend (from Union Hand-Roasted) & intricate latte art even won the place a local award in 2011. Early birds tackle stacks of
pancakes with maple syrup, while lunchtime sees wholesome soups (pumpkin for example) & superior sandwiches made with well-chosen ingredients – think manchego & salame ciabatta.
Old-fashioned sponge cakes & fruit scones keep the afternoon traditionalists happy, as does a decent range of Teapigs tea. Located in the busy South Lanes, the café is permanently packed, but
there are more seats upstairs; on sunny days you can nab a table outside for some people watching.
