Nestled in the heart of Fitzrovia, Brasserie Angelica is a contemporary all-day brasserie, situated in The Newman Hotel, that effortlessly bridges the gap between early-morning coffees and late-night cocktails.
London-based design studio LIND + ALMOND has created interiors that celebrate the area’s heritage, blending Victorian joinery with Art Deco flourishes, monochrome graphic touches, and bespoke plywood details that nod to local design legends. The result is a space that feels both historically rooted and refreshingly modern, with 100 covers indoors, a dedicated bar, and 24 alfresco seats on the street-side terrace.
At the helm of the kitchen is Executive Chef Christian Turner, whose menu champions simplicity, quality, and seasonal British ingredients. Northern European influences shine through dishes such as Gravlax with fermented cucumber salad, Västerbotten cheese tart with smoked onion purée, and the West Coast Salad with shrimp, mussels, crab, and mushrooms. Mains include a Sutton Hoo chicken pie with cep cream sauce, confit duck leg with haricot beans, and a double-tranche of halibut, alongside premium wood-fire grill selections and carefully considered sides such as potato and sprat gratin and leeks vinaigrette. Desserts range from crème caramel with toasted brioche to a blueberry tart with lemon curd, complemented by smaller sweet bites like cardamom buns and canelés.
A bespoke sandwich trolley adds theatre at lunchtime, while the brasserie’s private dining rooms - Talland (20 covers) and Little Talland (12 covers) - offer intimate settings for special occasions, both serving the full brasserie menu. Open seven days a week, from breakfast to late evening, Brasserie Angelica combines warm, accessible service with refined yet unpretentious cuisine, establishing itself as a vibrant local destination in Fitzrovia.
