After you’ve enjoyed some retail therapy at Bluewater shopping centre, you'll be in need of a bit of down time. Head over to Bill's restaurant, which is open weeklong, tucked inside Bluewater's food court. Here, you'll find everything you need to satisfy rumbling tummies, whether that's a light breakfast, bottomless pancakes at brunch, or leisurely dinner with cocktails.
On Fridays, there's a bottomless pancakes offer, with buttermilk pancakes available all day, with your choice to add unlimited hot drinks onto the booking. If you’d prefer a savoury start to your day, order the two poached free range eggs on sourdough with roast butternut squash, hummus, baby spinach and feta, or the hot honey chorizo with poached eggs and whipped labneh with spinach, pickled red onions and toasted flatbread. Weekend brunch is a little fancier, beginning with the offer of a Strawberry Rossini, Bloody Mary or Elderflower and Bramble Spritz, followed by the fried buttermilk chicken pancake stack with maple and chilli syrup, topped with two fried free range eggs.
Should you be visiting at dinner time, begin with some green halkidiki olives for the table, crispy calamari with roast garlic and basil aioli, and Bill's sticky duck salad with watermelon and a spicy BBQ sauce. For your main, try the baked aubergine with parmesan, spinach and tomato sauce, topped with green basil pesto and creamy burrata, served with fried potatoes and basil aioli, or the hippy bowl – stuffed with ancient grains, avocado, roasted squash, spicy cherry tomatoes, baby spinach and chimichurri sauce, topped with chilli corn ribs and crispy tortillas. If you'd like something sweet to finish, we think the banoffee pie sundae sounds divine, made with an oaty shortbread biscuit base topped with dulce de leche, white chocolate mousse and clotted cream ice cream.
