Bottomless Brunch in Cardiff: The best places for a boozy morning (or afternoon)

Looking for the best bottomless brunch in Cardiff? You’ve come to the right place.

Cardiff, like most other student cities, has a lot to offer in the boozy brunch department. There are tons of brilliant pubs and bars, more and more of which have started offering a special something to wash down the morning meal. It’s a trend that’s swept the nation and shows no signs of slowing down. After all, it’s a win-win: restaurants and bars can attract customers earlier in the day and customers get a deal on drinks. What’s not to like?

Brunch was actually invented for hangovers. In 1895, English author Guy Beringer apparently wrote an essay while hungover entitled Brunch: A Plea, in which he outlined the idea of a hybrid meal to cure headaches and fill stomachs. Beringer said it should be a social meal, where fellow hangover sufferers can wallow together. Now, over 125 years later, brunch is more popular than ever.

The bottomless addition to the late morning meal - if you ask us - was a stroke of genius. What better way to chase away a hangover than unlimited bloody Marys and the like alongside your fry-up? Sweeter options have also become popular, such as buttermilk pancakes paired with bellinis.

From cosy pubs to lively clubs and everything in between, we’ve gathered the cream of the crop in terms of bottomless brunch in Cardiff just for you. There’s plenty of choice, including pancakes, pizza and even a full-on brunch burger to choose from, as well as cocktails, beers, prosecco, bellinis, mimosas and of course, bloody Marys.

We’ve included the price, how long your bottomless brunch will last, where to go and how to book, to make sure you have all the information you need to make the right decision. So, without further ado, here are the best bottomless brunches in Cardiff.

Dirty martini

As the name might suggest, Dirty Martini specialises in cocktails. But what might be less apparent, is that these cocktails can be enjoyed bottomless-style with brunch. Choose from eight cocktails including raspberry and elderflower Collins or espresso martinis, as well as prosecco and beer for non-cocktail drinks (whoever they are). The brunch in question is served in a highly Instagrammable birdcage, a la afternoon tea, and includes beef and cheese sliders, fried buttermilk chicken sliders, mac and cheese bites, veggie spring rolls and more. There is also a fully vegan version for our plant-based pals.
