Located right in the heart of Cardiff, directly across from Cardiff Castle and next to Millennium Stadium, Revolution is a large cocktail bar and restaurant. Boasting of a back bar, a main bar called Nightjar, a vodka garden, and an upstairs clubroom, Revolution aims at providing all the venue types that could make for a good night out on the town.
The restaurant itself is designed to feel playful and lively, featuring arcade games and a giant disco ball on the ceiling. Yet the space remains well-lit and cosy, with its exposed rafters, strand lights, and fun posters adorning the walls. You can also rent out space for private events or group dining, such as for corporate parties, birthdays, or hen/stag nights.
The cocktail menu is expansive, and the drinks all have tounge-in-cheek names, such as the Free the Nipple (with Ciroc Red Berry vodka, lemon, pineapple juice, strawberry, sugar syrup, grenadine, and a shot of prosecco) or the Just Do You Boo (with Absolut Watermelon, bubblegum syrup, lime, and RedBull Watermelon). There are also cocktails to share, which include plentiful amounts of all the bar's favourite single cocktails, such as the Pimp Your Pornstar that comes with six different Pornstar Martinis. And if you really love what you're drinking, you could always try and recreate it by taking the Cocktail Masterclass.
The food menu is equally huge. You'll see colorful takes on all the classic bar food like pizza and burgers, or if you're not as hungry you could always try one of the 'Sharing' or 'Grazing' options. Revolution also caters to those with dietary restrictions, so you'll see many meals marked for those who need gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian options.
