SquareMeal Review of Zen Sai

Zensai (the name is Japanese for 'pretty little things') might be just the spot if you're hankering for a night of cocktail indulgence on Inverness Street. The bartenders can mix up all the old favourites, of course, as well as some new ones – try the Urban Voodoo (a blend of absinthe & Jack Daniels, zinged up with mint & sorrel) or the equally enticing Pink Panties (a sublime pink mix of vodka, lychee liqueur, raspberries & cranberry juice). If you're after food, expect westernised renditions of the core Asian repertoire – Malaysian chicken curry with roti canai bread, duck spring rolls, teriyaki salmon, mee goreng noodles & the like. A resident DJ plays soul, funk & chilled beats for the assembled punters.
