SquareMeal Review of
The Quays Restaurant at Hilton Sheffield
Right on the regenerated quayside, overlooking Sheffield’s scenic Victoria Quays Canal, this family-friendly hotel offers all the requisite mod cons for business or pleasure. The kitchen works to a
reasonably priced international menu with lots of exotic ideas on show – from seared scallops with crisp pomegranate salad or watermelon with feta and sharp blueberry vinaigrette to lamb’s liver
stroganoff or chilli- and ginger-marinated pork chop on a bed of baked chorizo, potatoes and fennel. Grills are always popular, although the signature dish is mustard-crusted rack of lamb with a
mini shepherd’s pie and roasted sweet potatoes. Note that table 28 offers a more private stetting for parties of up to eight people. Meanwhile, the adjoining Quay Bar serves drinks and light meals
throughout the day, with the bonus of a terrace overlooking the barges chugging along on the canal.
