If you told us ten years ago that an internet meme could lead to a string of international restaurants, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. Nevertheless, this is exactly what ‘salt bae’ chef Nusret Gökçe has done, opening his latest site at The Park Tower hotel in Knightsbridge. The Turkish cook, who achieved internet fame when videos of his meat seasoning technique went viral, oversees a menu that includes signature dishes such as roasted asado short-rib, and Nusr-Et meat spaghetti. Elsewhere on the menu, you’ll find tartare selections and some light salads, while there’s a cocktail menu to help wash everything down. If the critic’s reviews of his other locations (including Dubai, Miami and New York) are to be believed, you might be better off sticking to the drinks.
