SquareMeal Review of Ninth Ward

If the bar from hit US sitcom ‘Cheers’ was transported to London and updated 30 years, it would probably look like this Clerkenwell joint. Brick walls, wood shutters and huge bar – it’s easy to imagine Ted Danson pulling pints and spinning a yarn. There’s an all-American feel to the menu too, where fried chicken, wings, steaks and burgers dominate, although veggies need not despair, as mac ‘n’ cheese, blackened  broccoli salad or burnt courgette with spring onions and pomegranate come to the rescue. If there are enough of you, look out for party menus which reasonably priced and designed for sharing.
