The team behind London’s Disappearing Dining Club have launched their newest project, opening the doors to Little Quiet, a sixteen-ish seater dining room on Newbury Street, EC1A, a two-minute walk from Barbican tube station. The dark doorway opens into a darker dining room, and what you’ll find inside is something quite surprising; a classic, intimate, homely and relaxed space that you can’t help but find inviting. Music and lighting are hushed, service is warm and unassuming, with the focus on guests enjoying a moment away from the noise of the City. Swedish Head Chef Fred Bolin’s menu takes classic French cooking and blends in Scandinavian technique for his simple, three-starter /three-main /three-dessert menus. Expect elegant, sophisticated dishes with seasonal ingredients, that foreground good cooking and flavour without unnecessary bells and whistles.
