Originally backed by Caprice Holdings supremo Richard Caring (The Ivy, 34 etc), Limeyard was acquired by Côte Restaurants early in 2016, although it’s business as usual at these popular all-day eateries. Beyond the blue frontage and striped red awning is a cavernous industrial space with ceiling ducts, gantries, a chequerboard floor and a bar at one end, while the kitchen deals in big US classics (with some international standbys for good measure). Drop by for breakfast or weekend brunch (huevos rancheros, buttermilk pancakes), fill the lunchtime gap with a buttermilk chicken burger, or go the whole hog – perhaps a half-rack of Coke-glazed ribs or Baja tacos (a house speciality), followed by classic steak and eggs. Drinks range from US beers and cocktails to New World wines.
