SquareMeal Review of Gamma Gamma

You’ll find this Japanese/Indian fusion restaurant on the old site of Bó Drake in Soho. Gamma Gamma’s name originates from its address at 6 Greek Street, with two ‘gammas’ in the Greek alphabet making a six. However, the menu’s inspiration comes from much further afield, featuring lean meats from exotic farmed animals such as zebra, ostrich and kangaroo.

Diners can choose from the likes of zebra loin tataki with charred grapes, popcorn, a saké-cured egg and sriracha jelly, alongside more conventional dishes such as crispy sesame squid with kung pao sauce, and Thai green curry. Desserts meanwhile see a mango and passionfruit Eton Mess, and a banana toffee spring roll served with miso ice cream and toasted peanuts.
