SquareMeal Review of Carousel

You can never be sure of what you’ll get at this Marylebone venue, but you’re bound to get plenty of food for thought. Taking the fashion for supper clubs and pop-up restaurants to the next level, Carousel is a permanent restaurant and event venue bringing top chefs from around the world to showcase their skills for around a fortnight at a time. Expect the likes of Gro, the Scandinavian duo fresh from Stockholm, who focus on close food with an emphasis on vegetables, or Tom Ryalls, who gained his expertise in Moro and St John Bread and Wine amongst other places, offering diners plenty of slow cooking, pickling, salting and smoking. Cultivated by the four enterprising cousins behind immersive dining firm Shuttlecock Inc., a visit to Carousel promises a combination flavour, design, performance and music.
