Filling the void left by Bar Vinyl, Boho is a DJ lounge whose mashed-up British Home Stores-style decor harks back to 1970s glam rock – in contrast to its house-based soundtrack. Some of the happy hour cocktails such as Long Island Iced Tea (sold on a 4-7pm, two-for-one deal), were also popular when The Osmonds set tweenagers’ pulses racing. The boho barmen are a fruity bunch: hence a cocktail list containing a kumquat and passion-fruit vodka Sling, fig Caipirinha, walnut and pear Old Fashioned, and Yuzucolada (pineapple, yuzu, yoghurt, absinthe and rum). Food of baked Camembert (£7.50), buck rarebit, fish & chips, and apple crumble were big in the 70s too, but you can also sample more contemporary flavours such as quinoa and charred greens risotto; pulled beef brisket with beer mustard rémoulade in a brioche; and broad bean falafel with tabouleh, hummus and raita.
